Job Description

DARKHORSEONE LIMITED is seeking an exceptional Platform AI Engineer to join our innovative team. You will be responsible for developing and optimising our AI-powered platform that streamlines human resources management and business operations for SMEs.

As a strategic technical role, you will work on building scalable AI infrastructure, deploying machine learning models, and enhancing our platform's computational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based AI infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Develop and maintain large-scale distributed computing systems using Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, or Ray
  • Build and optimise machine learning platforms with MLOps practices and tools like TensorFlow Serving or Triton Inference Server
  • Create efficient data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Airflow, and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Collaborate with AI research and product teams to deploy and optimise machine learning models
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of AI systems
  • Research and implement cutting-edge technologies to improve platform capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying and optimising Large Language Models (LLMs) and Transformer architectures
  • Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems or knowledge graphs
  • Experience with Edge AI or TinyML implementations
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in AI platform development, MLOps, or AI engineering
  • Contributions to AI research or open-source projects

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM disciplines
  • Graduation from one of the UK's G5 universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, UCL, or LSE)
  • Strong skills in cloud computing and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with large-scale distributed computing (Kubernetes, Docker, Spark, Ray)
  • Proficiency in machine learning platform development (MLOps, TensorFlow Serving, Triton Inference Server)
  • Data engineering capabilities (Apache Kafka, Airflow, SQL/NoSQL databases)
  • Software engineering skills in at least one of: Python, Go, Rust, or C++, along with Git and CI/CD experience
  • Excellent cross-team collaboration abilities
  • Fast learning capacity to adapt to evolving AI technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills for optimising AI training and inference efficiency
